Fielders are delighted to be working with er geotechnical engineering analyses, consultancy and marine warranty surveying projects and assist with proposal writing, group marketing and technical development in accordance with the quality management system. The geotechnical engineer in this role will have the opportunity to work on suite of offshore geotechnical projects with emphasis on renewable energy developments. We are looking for a senior geotechnical engineer to join our highly motivated team of geoscience experts with plentitude of training and knowledge transfer opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Deliver engineering, MWS and other consultancy projects to meet quality and budget expectations
• Perform foundation design and assessment for different infrastructures including Jack-ups, fixed and floating wind turbine generators
• Knowledge and experience of designing deferent shallow and deep foundation types, including mud mats, suction caissons, driven/drilled piles
• Perform advanced numerical modelling using Finite Element Method and familiarity with different soil constitutive models
• Geotechnical and ground model data review and derivation of design soil parameters
• Design and management of laboratory testing campaigns
• Provide technical support towards site investigation campaigns
• Preparing geotechnical interpretive reports and geotechnical design profiles
• Assessing geohazard risks for various offshore projects
• Assist in creating integrated ground models
• Assist in geotechnical earthquake engineering assessments
• Develop internal software tools and participate in R&D projects
• Provide advice and support to colleagues including mentorship to junior staff
• Attend client sites to participate in meetings
• Lead projects from proposal stage to technical work scope and client delivery
• Prepare reports and document reviews
• Assist in the marketing of Global Maritime
• Assist with the delivery of services across Global Maritime’s business streams as workload demands.



Specific Skills, Knowledge and Experience required
• A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical or Geology related subjects
• Fundamental understanding of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering principals
• Post graduate degrees and work experience in offshore geotechnical engineering are an advantage
• Working ability in a range of engineering analysis tools
• Basic ability in Global Maritime project accounting tools
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills
