Our Client is a very successful, well established, independent SI business with a strong focus on fieldwork and contracting. They have several UK offices and now wish to build a strong team in a lovely newly decorated business unit situated in a picturesque village between York and Leeds. They are actively seeking good Principal Geotechnical Engineer and general staff at all levels to build up the team in this location where they already have lots of work.
We have worked with this client over many years and there is generally low staff turnover. It’s a fun place to work, and staff are richly rewarded with a general bonus scheme, hybrid working etc.
Essential Experience & Competencies:
Well-rounded ground investigation experience gained from working in either a
contracting or consultancy background.
Proven experience acting in a senior / principal engineer role with experience
managing teams of people.
Post-graduate experience in most aspects of projects, including planning,
commercial, and supervising, together with examples of applying standards and
technical knowledge in projects.
Good motivational, communication and people management skills with an ability to
influence staff and clients
Experience and understanding of the needs and approaches to ground investigation
specialism markets, including relationships with clients, work planning and
Experience managing commercial aspects of projects.
Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate
Team player, self-starter and problem solver with a mature approach and ability to
work as part of a larger operations team
