Our client is looking for a geotechnical engineer / engineering geologist to work alongside our internal GI supervision team on a nearshore ground investigation for a new-build power station project in Suffolk.
We are initially be looking for a client representative to be based on board a Jackup Barge during the investigation, and wed require support initially for 10 days from the 27th June. The work would be as a series of 10 day rotations so there may also be an opportunity for additional work later in the programme.
The role would be to act as client representative for 24hr CPT and Sonic drilling operations and the CR would be working on the opposite 12 hr shift to a member of our internal site supervision team.
The key requirements for this role would be as follows:
BOSIET or STCW95 trained.
OGUK or ENG1 Medical
Previous experience of GI supervision/site attendance either onshore, nearshore or offshore. Previous experience on a jackup in the nearshore environment and/or supervision of CPT or Sonic drilling would be highly desirable. Experience can be in either a consultancy/CR or contractor role.
Ability to work independently on board a Jack up barge.
